Switches that sound as good
as they feel under your fingers.
beckiboards is a tiny switch lab where every set is lubed and filmed by hand, then demoed with before-and-after sound tests. What you hear in the video is exactly what lands on your desk.
How it works
Every switch set in the shop comes with a detailed mod log and a linked sound test so you can hear the difference before you buy.
I start with a stock batch and record a clean sound test: same board, same keycaps, same mic setup—no mods yet. This is your “before.”
Each switch is tuned by hand: lube, films (when they help), and spring checks. I log the lube, brushes, films, and any quirks in the batch notes.
I re-record using the exact same setup so you can compare before vs. after. The product page links both videos plus timestamps for quick A/B listening.
You pick the set size that matches your board. Each pack ships labeled with the mod recipe so you can recreate or tweak it in future builds.
Why buy hand-modded switches?
There’s a big gap between “sounds great in a video” and “actually feels right on my desk.” beckiboards is about closing that gap with transparent, repeatable switch tuning.
No mystery chains. Every clip lists board, plate, keycaps, mic placement, and room notes, so you know exactly what you’re hearing.
Mod cards include lube brands and weights, spring weights, film type, and any oddities, so advanced builders can replicate or tweak.
I only work with switches I’m genuinely curious about. Each drop explores a specific sound or feel: deep, marbly, clacky, muted, and more.

I’m still recording the first round of before/after sound tests and dialing in packaging. Drop your email and I’ll only message you when:
- The shop officially opens
- New switch batches or sound test series are released
- Occasional nerdy deep-dives into materials, molds, and sound profiles
